Difference Between DC Motor and Stepper Motor

The first is the nature of the loop: stepper motors operate in open loop, while DC motors operate in closed loop.

Efficiency: Whenever the stator poles are energized, the stepper motor will draw current at maximum load,dc motor controller  ， reducing energy utilization and heat loss. DC motor is a mature technology, its efficiency can reach about 85%.

The difference between DC motor and stepper motor in application: Stepper motor is often used in 3D printers, CNC machinery, medical imaging machines, printers, cameras and other precision control applications. Whereas DC motors can be used in telephone vibrators, power tools, car windows, cranes and conveyor belts, as well as in priority applications.
